We can’t shun the music where with its sublime leads on keys, swanky guitars, and a new age bassline, the synths adds a hymn touch to the music. And the lyrics explore the complexities of love, while probing themes of loneliness, allowing us to dig into the simplest ideas of love. The alluring lyrics, “God gave me knowledge to open my mind, but the devil gave me loneliness so I’d leave it all behind,” are perhaps my favourite lines from the song.
