Manchester-based guitarist Jimmy Beedham recently released ‘Trojan Funk’, and we can’t stop vibing to it. The talented artist has a great set of musicians around him that elevate the performance for listeners. The band consists of John Gagnall and Stu Fagan on drums, Neil Fairclough on bass, Maff Hall and Neil Edwards on keys, and Anthony Brown on sax, and they create magic together. You can feel the authenticity of a live performance in their track, and that’s what got me hooked on ‘Trojan Funk’.

The track starts with soaring energy, banging drums, spicy guitar strings, and a sequence that instantly makes me want to stick around till the very end. There’s something about the way it kicks in that grabs your attention before you even realize it; you’re hooked. The track transforms like a caterpillar into a butterfly, moving from one section to another and building beautifully towards the climax. I found myself getting completely hooked on the electric guitar notes, especially as they bounce against those funky rock beats. There’s so much movement packed into this one that I’d honestly suggest taking a good breath before hitting play because once ‘Trojan Funk’ kicks in, I am sure you’ll remember to breathe.
