The Scotland-based band is back with another classic “Jutebox” track. With “Fallout,” they once again prove they know exactly how to make you groove through chaotic emotions. Their music blends funk, ska, blues, and rock effortlessly, and that is what makes it so enjoyable to listen to. Dan Richardson’s vocals carry this carefree warmth that makes the music feel raw and authentic. Alex Thornton’s guitar riffs quietly brighten everything up, Cameron Hill keeps the energy constantly moving through his drumming, and Kai Murdoch’s bass grooves are simply impossible to ignore.

“Jutebox’s music feels like walking into a room full of chaos and somehow dancing your way through it, smiling.”

Their infectious synergy is reflected in their latest song, “Fallout” as well. The track starts with this bright funky bounce that resets your mood within seconds. The groove is the real hook here. Even before the lyrics fully settle in, the rhythm already pulls you into its world. I liked how the lyrics talk about falling apart and reconnecting again, but the music keeps everything uplifting instead of dramatic. The funky beats and ska texture make the whole thing colorful and constantly moving. The basslines deserve special mention because they quietly carry the emotional pulse of the song from start to finish. By the end, “Fallout” doesn’t just sound like a song you listen to once; it feels like one of those tracks you randomly replay while walking around the city at night.
