One of our favourite artists, ReeToxA, is back with another track, and this time it’s time to cling to ‘Bottle.’ The Melbourne-based rock band is fronted by vocalist and songwriter Jason McKee, who brings to us some of the most well-preserved songs from his armour. The band carries a 90s-era rock spirit, with Jason’s honest songwriting, Simon Moro’s flawless production, James Ryan’s energetic guitar work, Kit Riley’s sophisticated bass, and Peter Marin’s punchy drums. There’s a real sense of chemistry throughout, almost like everyone is telling the same story from different instruments.

“Some songs wait for the right time to be heard, and ‘Bottle’ proves that good stories never lose their spark.”

At its heart, ‘Bottle’ is about friendship, teenage rebellion, mental health, and the desperate hope of finding an escape when life feels easy. The best part about this song is that it was actually written when Jason was 15, and experiencing it all live. It genuinely feels like someone is opening a musical diary that still speaks to today. I loved how the guitars explode into the chorus while never overshadowing the emotion. The production feels big and anthemic but still has enough grit to remind you where the song came from, and I would suggest you hit play on ‘Bottle and let its story unfold.
