We got a chance to interact with the artist and learn more about them and the release. Here are all the insights we got!: –

1. “L.L.L.” isn’t just a song; it feels like a full sensory world. How did the idea of blending gym

culture with quirky music and exciting visuals come to you?

It came very authentically. As a competitive powerlifter here in Sweden, the gym is my second

home, and the studio at The Node in Stockholm quickly became my third. Gym culture is shifting,

my local club, Täby AK, is incredibly inclusive and empowering, with people from 15 to 80+ years

old, from absolute beginners to world champions (sic!). I wanted to capture that actual joy and

build a gym so quirky and heavy that you literally can’t stop moving once you hear the track. The

idea for the L.L.L. hook actually happened naturally while I was recording vocals at The Node, a

creative hub where a bedroom songwriter like me could just enter a pro-studio environment and

start world-building from day one.

2. You describe your music as “power, not performance.” In an industry obsessed with image and

perfection arcs, what does that philosophy really mean to you?

In both the fitness and music industries, there is often the obsession with ‘the after photo’, looking

perfect for the algorithm or the male gaze. “Pop is power, not performance” means reclaiming the

physical roots of why we move and make art. It’s about taking up space for yourself, sweating,

and feeling invincible in the body you have right now. It’s a rejection of posing for somebody, but

posing to enjoy the spark you can see in your eyes. True power is the joy of realizing that you are

perfect and unapologetic exactly as you are.

3. The ASMR lollipop-on-a-barbell visual is both playful and slightly unsettling. How intentional is

that balance between attraction and discomfort in your creative direction?

I love this question. I spent a month in December painstakingly hand painting heavy barbell

plates in neon candy-glitter colors to build this dreamy set. The original plan was actually to load

those giant 45cm lollipops onto the barbell as weight plates! But during the shoot, they

accidentally didn’t fit the barbell. So, as the director, I had to pivot. The most powerful, chaotic

thing to do was to just crush them over the iron at 100 frames per second. That “accident”

created the most iconic, satisfying slow-motion ASMR moment of the entire campaign.

4. Your sound feels physical, like sweat, breath, and rhythm are part of the music itself. I can’t

describe the kind of stimulation I felt listening to it. When you’re creating, are you thinking about

how the body experiences the track, not just how it sounds?100%. When I was rehearsing the song, I was literally exercising at the same time. Breath is the

ultimate bridge between art and sport, which is why it was a conscious production choice to leave

those heavy, tired breaths in the final mix. It’s unhinged and raw. We even used quite a lot of

sounds of metal on metal as part of the percussion layer of the track. I don’t only think about the

sonic layer, I think about the movement, the color, and even the scent. For the record, the Candy

Gym officially smells like peppermint and blueberries!

5. With over 700K views before release, your visual identity is clearly resonating. Do you see

yourself more as a musician, a performance artist, or someone building an entirely new pop

subculture?

I definitely see myself as a world-builder. I had the vision for the Candy Gym two years ago, and I

found amazing collaborators who resonated with the idea and helped me execute it. I am

incredibly fortunate to have worked in tech and marketing for years, so I treat my art with that

same level of execution. I’m not just dropping a song, I am launching a brand-new universe,

which is an artist brand with a defined audience and a completely different type of authentic

experience.

6. “Candy Gym” feels like more than an aesthetic, it feels like a movement. What kind of space or

mindset do you want fans to step into when they enter your world?

The Candy Gym is a virtual mindset where you can just be yourself: sweaty, joyful, and

completely unfiltered. There actually isn’t one way of succeeding on your fitness journey, but

there are a million ways to progress in a positive way. You can lift heavy iron and still eat candy.

Everything in moderation! Strength is a lifelong journey, so why on earth would you wait until the

‘end’ of it to have color and fun in your life?
