Hailing from Wiltshire, the English Rock n’ Roll singer Olly Williams started small, as a busker showcasing his talent on the streets of Bath. As someone who spent five years of his life breathing and curating art out of his passion while also making ends meet as a history school teacher, his art has only evolved since his first release, ‘Complicated Lady’, in 2019. From collaborating with musical geniuses like Nick Cave, Elvis Presley, Elliott Smith, and performing twice at the Porthcawl Elvis Festival in South Wales, Olly has truly come a long way.

A longing that has dissolved in the paranoid landscape of the artist’s mind, this is about that fizzled-out wound scar that just refuses to leave.
‘Candles Turned Into Ash’ is a dreamy moment of sombre reflections and powerful storytelling where the artist takes a moment to try and fathom the first encounter he had with the one he admired, and how he wishes to turn back the tides of time to be one with them till. Acoustic verses, slow sonic atmospheres and free-flowing vocals, this track feels like it says a lot with saying very little. If you’re looking for a good moment to vent, this is the right track to do so.
