We also had a chance to have a little chat with the artist and here’s how it went-

Q- What Would You Do was recorded at Michael Miller Productions at Unlimitedtalents and carries a strong emotional weight. Can you walk us through the moment when the song truly clicked for you during the recording process

“What Would You Do” was inspired by a deeply personal conversation with a lifelong friend. As the conversation proceeded, the emotions in her mannerisms made my imagination peak. I thought this could be a song.”

Q- You’ve shared that the friend who inspired the lyrics was moved to tears upon hearing the song. How did witnessing that reaction affect your confidence in the song’s message and your responsibility as a storyteller?

“It meant that I captured her pain to the point of revelation. She told me that after listening to the song she knew what she had to do. It became a simple decision to make.”

Q In a music landscape often driven by production and beats, you’ve chosen to prioritize lyricism and narrative. What draws you to this approach, and how intentional is that choice when you begin writing a new song?

“Im fascinated by a story and I believe the easiest story to tell is one you’ve witnessed yourself . I let the lyrics come to me. If the words don’t flow naturally then I know it’s not a song I should be writing. I’m just telling a story over a Michael Miller beat.”

Q What Would You Do feels deeply personal yet widely relatable. How do you strike the balance between telling a specific, real-life story and leaving enough emotional space for listeners to see themselves in it?

“All my songs I believe have universal appeal because of one unique quality, relatability. We all have gone through stressful relationships or know someone who has.”

Q For new listeners and music curators discovering your work for the first time, what do you hope they understand about you as an artist after hearing What Would You Do?

I’m focused on authenticity, I always want my songs to be straight forward and honest. I don’t try to use my superior vernacular to overwhelm the listening, I like to be metaphorical sometimes, which is never planned it’s just how the lyrics flowed. You may not like my voice or you may not like the beat but there is no denying the lyrics, IMO.
