The first chords of “Analogue Dreams” by JPRIZM begin to reverberate through your speakers. You can feel your head bobbing to it, yet it’s not so heavy that it drowns out the other parts. The tune is classic JPRIZM: upbeat and carefree with a hint of melancholy. It evokes the feelings of restless dreams and souls in a way that is both beautiful and painful. It engulfs you and propels you on, always pursuing something elusive in the dazzling digital realm. Even after many listening, the tune had its distinctive JPRIZM flavour. Midway through, there are little flourishes like crystallised violins or chirpy synthesisers that cleverly prevent boredom. The production is thick but flawless, and with each listen, new textures become apparent.
