Germany-born singer-songwriter Carsten Schnell was undoubtedly inspired by the music that spawned rock music and its wide range of forms and subgenres, and he takes forward his style of music forward with astounding elegance and superb taste. He started off with his album “Adjust” in 1992 with a sound so unusually structured. His latest hit, “I have been waiting,” follows the popularity of his previous single, “Another Day, Another Dollar.”

“The smoky taverns of the American South in the wild sixties are brought to mind in ‘I Have Been Waiting,’ an accurate rendition of delta blues.”

The song “I Have Been Waiting” is moving and creative. The song is essentially a 12-bar blues in major, built around the traditional instrumentation of guitar, bass, upright piano, and drum set. Carsten Schnell’s vocals are wonderfully authentic to the genre, complementing the brilliant musical performances. The vocals in the track are equally as compelling as the music, with heartfelt cries. The guitar solo even sounds authentic. The solo sounds like an elegant fight between man and instrument, with a straining, striving tone reminiscent of early guitar amplifiers, natural amplifier feedback, and much thicker guitar strings.

With its infectious groove and heartfelt lyrics, “I Have Been Waiting” is a timeless classic that will continue to inspire artists for years to come. A brand new blues tune that has all the best elements of the genre’s classic sound. This is definitely a track for those who tune into soothing music. Muse the track below:
