Dirty Time, Petit Futur, Amazing Games, Unsaid, and many other alternative bands from the 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s served as the foundation for “Factheory”. Factheory is an example of an effective blend of a postpunk rock with electro trends and a darkwave with unstoppable melodies.

“Factheory succeeds in delivering enchanting remixes, adding their flair to every track in this EP, perfectly showcasing their musical prowess with their intricate instrumentation and stunning delivery.”

This EP is packed with 4 riveting tracks, which are remixes of three tracks by the Brussels band OK Lion!, they have recently risen in the Belgian music scene. The EP opens with “The Day – Long Version” which uses the elements of electronic music so meticulously that it creates palpable tension from the get go and only gets denser with time. This banger is followed by a shorter version of the same track, but rest assured it does not lack in the intensity. My personal favourite “Souvent”, although completely sung in french creates an euphoric listening experience with it’s sensuous synths and hints of pop sprinkled all over.

Last but not the least we have got “Got you” which, as the title suggest will get you with it’s dark, eerie and oddly unsettling music, only to provide you comfort with the mellow acoustics, but the vocals yet again bring back the original mood of the song accompanied by the driving beats, the album ends on an electrifying note, leaving you craving for more. Factheory succeeds in delivering enchanting remixes, adding their flair to every track in this EP, perfectly showcasing their musical prowess with their intricate instrumentation and stunning delivery.
