Sloe Honey’s Lovesick : An ode to unrequited love.

During the pandemic, the artist Melissa Trinchere re-emerged as Sloe Honey overcoming the obstacles her life had dashed at her. Melissa started writing poetry and turning them into melodies as a pre-teen and has continued stirring up magical potions in form of music. Growing up in the 80s and 90s as a bibliophile goth, she takes her influence from the 90s RnB, Hip hop, funk/soul, alternative grunge to electro-pop music. In the past and at the present, she has been conceptualizing tunes as a conduit for her ideas and fantasies of love, heartache, death and The Divine Universe and has stated she her dedication to continue this forever.

“Turning her pain and heartache into a beautiful powerful music, Sloe Honey charms your mind with her fairy-like voice.”

Produced by Claudia Mills, the album ‘Lovesick’ is a heavenly dome built with perfect bricks of guitar strums and drumbeats coated with the beautiful voice of Sloe Honey. The tracks have an angelic touch with a hazy soundscape, tempting you to take charge of your emotions and set sail towards the surprises universe has in its arms for you.

The lyrics of the songs are a stream of words harmonized by the artist to remind you that every time you fall in love with someone, it changes you into a better version of yourself, taking you closer one step at a time into becoming the best of who you are. Lovesick is an album with a powerful yet peaceful message and is a bewitching composition.
