Fiona Ross wrote and produced the 14-track album “Thoughts, Conversations and to do lists” herself, it is a compilation of many themes that portray the artist’s day-to-day life. While some songs are busy, with lots going on from every angle, others are more introspective and reflective, depicting Ross’ headspace.

“Fiona perfectly encapsulates the struggle of letting go, because sometimes although you have cut ties, you can’t remove a person from your head.”

The album opens with “When Will You Leave My Mind”. The song starts off with soft guitar plucks accompanied by soft congo beats, followed by the haunting vocals of Fiona Ross. The first few lines of the song, set mood for what you can expect ahead “When will you leave my mind, You spend too long in my mind” the lyrics portray the state of being hung up and stagnant after a breakup. In the lines”I don’t know why I can’t ged rid of you”and “I moved on long ago and you’re still there” Fiona perfectly encapsulates the struggle of letting go, because sometimes although you have cut ties, you can’t remove a person from your head. The track showcases the internal chaos with Ross’ rhythmic vocals, her words pulling you in seamlessly, completely immersing you as the song progresses.

Overall, it’s not a sad or mopey song, it’s moving on but in a very fun, quirky and light zone, put this song on and you’ll find yourself tapping your feet and shaking your head in no time.
