Statues of Men is a Cardiff based alternative rock band that is making its debut through their single, Choke. The band consists of Matt Maloney who is the Lead Vocalist and Rhythm Guitarist, Dan Maloney plays the lead Guitar & Backing Vocals while Jamie Dean handles the Bass and Sam Green does his magic on the Drums.
This band is surely one of the best new bands that I have come across this year. I was really excited to listen to their first track as the title surely conveys allot about the track.
The track starts out with a heavy guitar pluck and some drums while the lyrics slowly kick in. The vocals are beautifully incorporated into the intro bit. The lyrics are well written and executed with the required level of impact. The drums are so good that you will be air-drumming throughout the track. The riffs are heavy enough to create several mosh-pits in a concert. This is surely a band that I would love to keep up with, this year.
