One of the most thought-provoking bands is back with another track, and this time, it’s an urge to ‘Act Up’. A relatively new band formed in 2026, OpCritical is a collective with a purpose: to speak up about social issues and encourage people to stand up for what they believe in through their music. What I love about them is their fearless approach to making art a medium to put out a message to the world, and ‘Act Up’ is one such track from their collection.
“A punchy burst of punk and rock energy that asks listeners to stop watching from the sidelines and find their voice.”
The track wastes no time getting its message across. It comes in with the kind of raw energy that makes you want to turn the volume up and pay attention. The classic OpCritical punch of punk and the drive of alternative rock are clearly the game changers. The guitars hit with force, while the energetic rhythm gives the song a sense of urgency that is perfect for tracks like these. There is always something special about this band’s music videos. In this one, the image of a man sitting back and ignoring the danger around him makes the music even more compelling. Hit the link below and give this one a play!
