The best part is that she creates and records from a home-built vocal booth, taking a hands-on role in her vocal and visual content.

‘Human’ is on her forthcoming album ‘FREE-SPIRITED’, scheduled for 2027, and I am thinking: if one song is such a vibe, how would the whole album sound? The best thing about this song is how it turns a social media post about division into a song that asks a much bigger question: what does it actually mean to be human? This idea, coupled with a techno-house pulse, is as unique as it gets. And blending with that, TaniA’s own soulful voice makes it a dynamic track. The entire idea of dance-driven production contrasts with the layer of a hopeful outlook, and you must listen to it once.
We also got a chance to interview TaniA and here’s how the candid conversation went:
1. You’ve built an independent music career while handling so much of the creative process yourself. How has this hands-on journey shaped you as an artist and songwriter?
TaniA Kyllikki: Being entirely hands-on as an independent artist has forced me to trust my own creative instincts completely. When you don’t have a corporate label machine telling you who to be, what to sing, or how to fit into a specific commercial box, you have to develop an ironclad sense of artistic sovereignty. Every vocal arrangement, every genre choice, and every lyrical risk comes straight from my soul and my internal creative vision. This journey hasn’t just shaped me as a songwriter; it has liberated me. It allows me to create art that is uncompromisingly honest, which is exactly why it connects so deeply on a global scale with people who value authentic, unfiltered human emotion.
2. ‘HUMAN’ began with a Facebook post about division and empathy. What made you realise these thoughts needed to become a song?
TaniA Kyllikki: I was observing the digital world and noticed how deeply divided people have become on social media, how quickly empathy is stripped away behind a screen. It hit me that we are losing our connection to the core of what makes us human. I realized these thoughts couldn’t just stay as a passing online post, because social media feeds are temporary, but music is permanent. Music has a unique frequency that can bypass intellectual arguments and strike straight at the heart. I felt an undeniable artistic responsibility to take that collective tension, pull it out of the digital noise, and transform it into a massive, unifying dancefloor anthem. It became a song because the world didn’t need another angry debate; it needed a powerful sonic reminder that we are all inherently equal.
3. The track blends soulful vocals with techno-house production. How did you and Rynellton bring these different sounds together?
TaniA Kyllikki: It all started with that internal cinematic vision I experience. Before we even touched the equipment in the studio, I could completely hear how a soulful vocal arrangement could collide with a heavy, driving electronic beat without losing its emotional depth. I mapped out the vocal blueprint and the multi-genre direction, and then handed that vision over to my husband, Rynellton. He is an absolute genius when it comes to sonic architecture. He took my raw, soulful frequencies and built a polished techno-house landscape around them that allowed my vocals to soar rather than get drowned out by the production. He knows how to bring the best out of my voice. It was a beautiful collaboration, combining my internal auditory synesthesia with his technical studio execution to create something entirely groundbreaking. I am always left in awe working with my husband; he truly is an incredible musician, songwriter, and record producer. And it was an honour to co-write ‘HUMAN’ with him as well.
4. ‘HUMAN’ asks what it truly means to be human and how we can live in harmony. What do you hope listeners take away from its message?
TaniA Kyllikki: Ultimately, I hope ‘HUMAN’ acts as a profound wake-up call for the human spirit. In a world that constantly encourages us to categorize, judge, and separate ourselves from one another, I want listeners to strip away all those superficial labels when they hear this song. I hope the driving techno-house beat allows them to release their tension, while our lyrics and my vocals remind them of their capacity for deep empathy. More than anything, I want people to walk away from this track feeling a sense of dancefloor unity, realising that despite our differences, our pain, or our backgrounds, we are all beautifully different. Yet, at the exact same core, we all bleed the same, we all feel the same, and we are all inherently equal as one human race.
5. You create music from a home-built vocal booth and take charge of your own vocal production. How has this setup influenced your creative process?
TaniA Kyllikki: The main reason for setting this up was due to my chronic health conditions. I refused to allow what’s going on with my body daily to stop the creative process. But on the creativity side of it, creating from my own home-built vocal booth gives me absolute creative freedom and a completely sacred space to experiment without the clock ticking. Because I can fully hear the entire multi-genre production and vocal arrangements in my head before I even record, having my own setup allows me to immediately translate that internal blueprint into reality. Taking charge of my own vocal production means I don’t have to compromise on the raw, emotional frequencies I want to capture. I can sit in that booth, push the limits of my vocal range, and keep the authentic grit and unedited emotional peaks. It allows me to hand over a completely realised, pure vocal landscape to Rynellton, knowing it aligns perfectly with the musical ideas playing in my mind.
6. With your album ‘FREE-SPIRITED’ planned for 2027, what can listeners expect from this next chapter, and are there any new sounds you’re excited to explore?
TaniA Kyllikki: With ‘FREE-SPIRITED’ coming in 2027, listeners can expect an album that completely honours its title. It is an album born from absolute creative liberation. This next chapter is all about breaking down borders and refusing to stay in any one genre lane, because music is a feeling with many layers and many colours. Since both my husband and I are multi-genre songwriters, we love pushing boundaries. But more than anything, this album took a lot out of me personally. I wrote it during some of the hardest times of my life, and because of that, it is an album filled with pure heart and soul.
I see my God-given voice as a powerful, loving tool to reach out and deeply touch people’s lives. My ultimate hope is to make listeners feel heard, understood, and loved. I want to give people the confidence to love themselves, to hold onto faith, and have hope and determination to achieve their dreams, and to walk away feeling completely uplifted and inspired. That is the true beating heart of ‘FREE-SPIRITED’. It is multiple colours from my soul, shared openly with the world.
