The band that has always played live in front of the audience has now released their debut single ‘When I Tell You’. Hailing from Washington, DC, The Generation emerged from the city’s legendary mid-‘80s local scene, with members closely connected to Modest Proposal and The Mondays. Their original recordings spent 33 years in a London storage unit before being rediscovered, remastered, and finally brought to listeners, and we can’t be more excited to bring this to you all.

“A nostalgic travel back in time, ‘When I Tell You’ gives a classic rock edge vibe.”

As soon as you hit play on ‘When I Tell You’, you are taken back in time. The track carries the energy of a classic rock record that has somehow travelled through time and landed in the present without losing any of its original character. The vocals are particularly striking. It feels like a chorus of voices singing together in a symphony. The guitars are melodic, catchy, and slightly punky, which gives a nice lively edge that defines the band’s original musical world. Mastered by Geoff Pesche at Abbey Road Studios, the track is a must-listen for all the classic rock fans out there.
