Project D.S.F recently released ‘Transformation’, a cinematic instrumental from their recent EP ‘Uncharted Networks’. Created by studio-based composer, arranger, and producer Salaar Mausad, the project combines instrumental music with space-travel-themed visuals. Its sound draws from progressive rock, electronica, jazz fusion, psychedelic music, and orchestral influences, with each release forming part of a larger planned sequence.

“ A journey beyond words, a track beyond lyrics; ‘Transformation’ is surreal.”
‘Transformation’ is one of their latest releases, and it feels like a complete track in its own. You will slowly get into the rhythm of the song as it opens its world, allowing electronic textures and orchestral colours to find their place before the composition starts to gather momentum. The post-rock influence gives the piece that beautiful feeling of movement without rushing it. The changing tones and dynamics of the music do flawless storytelling. Paired with Project D.S.F’s spacecraft visuals, the music becomes even more immersive. ‘Transformation’ feels like a soundtrack to discovering something that cannot quite be explained yet, and you must listen to it to get that feeling.
