Some tracks are born out of a deep thought process while others just find their way. SoundFarm created one such track, ‘Suck It Up’, and it’s literally amazing. SoundFarm is an Oslo-based collective headed by Marte B. Trolldalen and the creative vision of guitarist Tommy and bassist Ola. This band, like this song, was born out of a chance discovery and today creates some of the most immersive music for listeners. Blending funk, rock, and infectious pop, SoundFarm has carved a niche for themselves. But what’s better is that this collective runs a studio where they work with individuals facing mental health challenges and intellectual disabilities, and other issues.

‘Suck It Up’ is a rehearsal jam session turned into a track, but believe me, it looks as polished as a finely recorded track would. It captures the raw and unfiltered energy of live recording, adding an authentic twist to the musicality. The track comes alive through its live recording approach, and the production choices add another layer to that rawness. From the vintage 1960s Sonor drum kit to the classic preamps and the Swedish Ehrlund microphone used for Marte’s vocals, every element seems to be natural. On top of it, Marte’s vocals just give a soothing experience. The entire song gives a feel-good vibe, and you must check this out!
