- ‘Show Love’ carries a heartfelt and uplifting message. What inspired this song, and why did you feel now was the right time to share it?
Shelia Moore-Piper:
The song ‘Show Love’ was actually written years ago. We were searching for songs for the upcoming ‘Love/Soul Session Vol. 2,’ and after hearing the demo, we decided to give it a facelift, record it, and make it the first single from this upcoming project. I’m so glad we released it. It’s definitely what the world needs right now.
2. Your music blends gospel, soul, jazz, and modern grooves so effortlessly. How do you keep that signature sound fresh with every release?
Shelia Moore-Piper:
It’s a God thing! It’s important to me to have all the elements that are needed in every song to make it pop!
3. ‘Show Love’ encourages listeners without ever feeling preachy. How do you create music that shares your faith while remaining relatable to everyone?
Shelia Moore-Piper:
There’s an art to it. I try to make sure I always lead with love! I appreciate the Lord and my hubby, Glenn “GP” Piper, for making sure I don’t overdo it. It’s important to know what works for a song and what doesn’t.
4. You often describe your music as a ministry. Has there been a listener’s response or experience that reminded you why you do what you do?
Shelia Moore-Piper:
Sure! I love it when people say, “I love your music. It’s uplifting.” Or when you’re riding with a friend, and they play one of your songs and say, “I love this!” I am grateful for God’s goodness in allowing me to record songs that touch the heart as well as the soul. I don’t take it lightly, and I am truly grateful.
5. With ‘Love/Soul Session Vol. 2’ on the way, what can fans look forward to next, whether it’s new music, live shows, or collaborations?
