“Cloud Highways” is another reminder of why Greg Germain’s music feels so easy to get lost in. There is a certain stillness in the way he creates sound, as if he is creating a separate world of his own. Drawing from synthwave, dream pop, city pop, and indie influences, Greg has developed a sound that feels both nostalgic and timeless. There is a cinematic quality running through everything he creates, as though each track belongs to a scene of a film that exists only in the listener’s imagination. His music often captures those quiet moments we rarely talk about: the late-night thoughts, the roads with no destination, and the memories that appear without warning.

A couple enjoying a romantic drive in a convertible car on a dreamy road amidst clouds at sunset.

Greg Germain makes music for the spaces between memories and moonlight, where nostalgia quietly finds a melody.

This track opens like the first glimpse of a city skyline after dark, where the world feels softer and time seems to move a little slower. The dreamy electronic production immediately sets the mood, wrapping everything in a haze of neon reflections, drifting thoughts, and endless roads stretching into the distance. As the song unfolds, the male and female vocals arrive like two horizons meeting each other. Their contrasting tones blend beautifully, creating a sense of the landscape the music is painting. I loved how the immersive mood remains intact from beginning to end. There is a gentle sense of nostalgia running through the track, like watching old memories pass by. By the final moments, “Cloud Highways” simply disappears into the night sky, leaving behind a feeling that lingers long after the music fades.
