A rising force Belgium, Brussels, Agnes Fred is a hypnotic emotional and vocal powerhouse who’s music will leave you in total awe and admiration. As someone who’s work falls into the categories of shoegaze and hypnotizing melancholy, and this debut tells us alot about the sonic direction and artistic choices of the artist for their sound. Creating a cold, haunting and mysterious environment with her sound, this marks the beginning of a creative ensemble that’ll definitely move us on various psychic and emotional stages of our lives. Without any further ado, let’s dive right into it!

‘After Death’ isn’t just another sad and gloomy track, it’s a mirror to the society. Life is just a matter of sentences and circumstances, and all of us have an inevitable truth that we worry about but never sporadically, what happens after it. We worry about the time before death, but the aftermath is truly a poetic yet relentlessly melancholic imagery. A track about loss, projections and the layers of reverb and silence that haunts you and your loved ones after it, this dramatic and eerie number throws a light on the a sense of emotional distance this thought creates in our heads, and how it refuses to settle, until we do. Deeply layered and fine-town as a layered work of art, this project blurs the lines between real and fake, and truly leaves you with a lack of words. I personally felt amazed at the spectral intimacy this track invites, and I feel like you will too.
