Blessing the world from London, England, Boey is a magnetic singer-songwriter who stands for the human emotions. With his roots from Malaysia, the artist has truly personified each and every emotion known to mankind with his amazing songwriting and vocal capabilities, and his tunes strike an emotional reaction out of you the moment you hear them. Boey’s voice and his epic songwriting skills are out of this world. Spreading imagery of love, compassion and care in the phase of chaos and endless hate in the world right now, Boey’s journey into topics is a true testament to his musical maestro and the sheer dedication he puts into every single track he puts out.

We start this dreamy album with what seems like one of my favourite songs, ‘When Will It Find’. A track that is about questioning everything that we’re supposed to accept as the ultimate truth of humanity, this is a perfect blend of magic and emotional override, and is beyond surreal. Throwing light on the hateful rhetoric and the endless grind one has to put through for just sustaining, this also expresses how overwhelmed the artist truly is, simply questioning when it’ll all end. Another track that really caught me by surprise was ‘Diesease’, a track that feels like a tempting surrender to the heat and magnetism you feel when you’re drawn to someone. This track feels and melts like butter in your ears, and its electric guitar backdrop takes it to another level. ‘What Am I Doing With My Life’ on the contrary, is about reflecting upon life and the endless comparisons it draws you into. Emotionally draining small talks and short conversations, this feels like the anthem of a midlife crisis, but as much as it’s relatable, you’ll get addicted to it.

‘Adrenaline Rush’, which features the angelic voice of Jemerine Chan, this track is a cute confession of love, and feels like a vocal letter of acceptance and endurance of that feeling.
Cosmic, electric, divine and calming, this track lowkey has healing properties with the way it feels. This immediately feels like the backdrop of a rom-com and is too adorable to be true. ‘Press Delete’ feels like poles apart from the previous track, and talks about the phase when you finally move on from the endless yearning of something that no longer belongs in your life.

Lastly, I feel like ‘Sinners’ and ‘Survived’ are two extraordinary numbers on this album that will pull you closer to them the more you listen to them. Beautiful notes of acapella highs, serene note changes and awe-inspiring lyrics that talk about the shortcomings of life that all of us can relate to, these tracks are like an anchor during the test of times. Overall, I must say, this album is beyond phenomenal. It’s got everything and beyond, and is truly one of the most memorable albums one can ever hear.
