I have never felt so connected to a musical piece before than I felt when I listened to The Iddy Biddies’ sophomore album “The World Inside”. To make such an impact on a new listener just with an album tells you a lot about an artist. The Iddy Biddies have shown their musical prowess with this one. The album is a collective of wonderfully crafted sonic pieces that all carry something unique for the listeners to take away. The melodies strike a chord in the listeners’ hearts and send them into a blissful state where music is the only language. With smartly written songs, “The World Inside” explores serious topics, making the listeners think while listening to one of the most serene albums out there. Listening to this album makes you feel like you have people like you out there, giving a sense of warmth and comfort. This brilliant indie folk piece feels like a soft, harmless revolution, yet carries unexplainable power because of its deep lyricism, introducing the listeners to a rich sonic tapestry. My personal favorite out of all the amazing songs in the album has got to be “Mr. September”, a very unique psychedelic folk song that speaks straight to your soul. Not just Mr. September though, any song that you pick out of the album carries huge volume to it. You’d better go listen to this amazing album right now and come back to tell us which one is your favorite!
