A magical duo hailing from Oakland, California, Omnesia is truly emerging as a vibrant force in the modern rock scene, and every listener and producer alive needs to take notes because wow! As a collective that always aims for diversity and creative imagination, their sonic world extends beyond music. Their sound, every single track is very unique yet very cohesive, and almost every track on their artistry sounds like nothing you’ve ever heard. With Medella Kingston on the guitars and production process and M2 turning all the vintage rock dreams to life, their sound leans indie-dance, electro-pop, nu wave and prog, is utterly smooth on the ears!

Music so beautiful and dreamy that it makes you forget your worries, the Future Vintage project is a reimagined take on creativity in the realm of rock.
We start this sensational sonic journey with the upbeat grooves of ‘Dangle’. A raw, unhinged and carefree tune that would teleport you back to the 70s, this is everything rock dreams are made of. Another track that caught my eye was ‘Sexy Party’. Complete shapeshift from the previous tracks, this is nu-disco mixed with the funkiness of rock music. Extremely hypnotic, this is the sexy in the party it’s referring to. ‘Days and Nights’, however, feels like a dreamy encounter with the sun the moment it shows up, and is very refreshing. ‘Heroes + Legends’ is on a similar trajectory as Sexy Party, and is about v opinions on us, and how little they should affect us. Its beat caught me off guard!

Then things get otherworldly with ‘Float’. Sounding exactly the way it’s named, it’s surreal, beautiful and has a very unique flow to it. ‘One Soul Story’ is fresh, adventurous and makes you want to dare in life. ‘Everything’ was another track that I couldn’t take my mind off of! It says very little, yet somehow feels like the spirit of your thoughts. It’s well thought out and talks about the sweet dreams of yearning and paranoia that are common within all of us. How we want to have so much at one point and almost need nothing the other. It’s catchy and very addictive. There couldn’t be a better way to conclude this colourful sonic journey.
Overall, I enjoyed each and every bit of this album and feel like it’ll definitely draw a lot of traction as time passes by. While every track has a different story to tell, these were some of my personal favourites from the album.
