Reviving the tangled strings of EDM and House Music, Tom Quick, the visionary composer and producer behind Lateral Root, hails from the city of Bristol in England. His sound is deeply inspired by beautiful genres Synth Euphoria and EDM, and the project is his alter ego. Lateral Root feels like an adventurous ride that lets you explore the depths and emotive side of electronic music. The fact that Quick’s personality feels like day and night as compared to Lateral Root fascinates us, and the line of sonic aces this project is beyond comprehension.

‘Sunlight’ feels like that first droplet of rain after a long, hot day.
Flowy music that feels like the elongated, beautiful movie, ‘Sunlight’, is exactly named the way it sounds. Refreshing, beautiful and creative, this track feels like a good stroke of beautiful colours on your mind’s palette. Surreal hitherto lost gem, this track is a sweet fruit born out of Tom’s personal studio. Full of blissful analogue synthesisers, outboard hardware and computer software, this track is beyond just music; it’s a full-blown experience in itself. Listening to it feels like exploring the depth of synth music, and I’m pretty sure its beauty will not just please you but resonate with you on a deeper level. Overall, I feel like this track needs to be celebrated, as although it’s an instrumental, it feels like it says a lot with nothing but a dreamy backdrop.
