‘Reminiscence’, the latest album release, is a reimagined take on freedom and here’s my take on it! We start off this album with ‘Reminiscence’. Fresh, playful and a beat you cannot stop grooving to, this sets off the perfect tone for the rest of the album. ‘A’TA’ feels like yet another track that speaks to your soul. What feels like a mirror to human emotions, this draws in a lot of depth from a listener. Vacating its way into the album, we next have ‘MBAMA’. Hypnotic, vibey and almost celebratory, this is like the rainbow after dreadful rains. ‘KEK’DA’ is a high-tempo banger that feels fast yet something one would really enjoy listening to while travelling.
‘BA’ATE’ is another heartfelt moment of everyday reflections. Collaborating with the creative legend Aino Peltomaa, this track feels upbeat yet surreal in a way of motivating to continue in life despite its ebbs and flows. ‘Arrogance’, a theatrical banger that blesses us right after, is vibrant, colorful and serene. It captivates us into its bliss the same way one gets blown away as they approach the waves of life. Following a similar theme, ‘NZEMBI’ feels like someone hit a rewind button on time. This is blissful, giving retro yet festive vibes. Overall, I feel like this release is something in a league of its own, and is a reminder to keep going on the unique path life’s put you on, despite the shortcomings. Overall, I feel like this release is uplifting and raw and has a lot to offer to the music realm. I feel like such a nuanced take on representation would definitely inspire upcoming creatives.
