‘Midnite Radio’ started as a jam session passion project of two friends in Nashville who lived through music as a collective. A euphoric, theatrical band sound that started from bucket-listing music is now at a stage to not just bring all its magic to life but do it with larger-than-life productions. We have Lee Coram on guitars and Beak Wing on drums, creating not just an alchemy of their own but also collaborating with legends like Miles Martin, Ken Christianson and Jon Shearer, to name a few, and the result is just pure bliss.

Holy guitar strumming, dreamy sonic landscapes, depth-infused lyrics, this is the sound of reckless adventure in rock.
‘Auntie’ is like a divine collective comprising a multitude of emotions we experience as humans. ‘Reboot the Drought’ is a track about a crisis of feeling out of place, where angst takes over one’s mind to a point where they forget to notice the good in their world. Melodic strums and guitar echoes through the next track, ‘Fear No Stars’, which feels like a reminder to face one’s fears, despite the circumstances, to keep going despite the odds. It’s mellow, fierce and feels like the start of a cohesion.

One starts noticing a pattern until ‘Backwards’ breaks it. It is a reflection of feeling a lack of a centre. Beautiful storytelling, this track is lyrically and melodically as put together as peanut butter and jelly. Personally, my favourite track is as it makes you submerge yourself into the depth of the album while also lighting the mood.
‘Quench’ is yet another adventurous take on rock, and feels like a moment of sunshine in the song, but the lyrics almost tell a different story. Spiralling further in and away into one’s fears at the same time, this is a breath of fresh air. Following it is the action-packed moment of storytelling wrapped in ‘Breath’, which has holy guitars and a beat that makes you levitate. Lastly, with ‘Paradise’, we end the EP with a bass-driven bang of realisation. Overall, I’m left in awe with how fabulously placed everything is with this album, and needless to say, if you listen to it, you’ll be a fan of it too!
