Die Kammer is a powerful duo who make songs that go well on a dark night. The ambiguous and vast ambience in their tracks sends chills down my spine every time I listen to them invested. The dark chord progression choices and pain filled vocals are obvious tags of a Die Kammer song. The frequent tonality switch in the vocals help in carrying the collective’s musical essence. Filled with darkness, their songs are full of creep and mystery.

“The Kammer’s new single ‘Ignoring My Safeword’ exposes the dark side of love by talking about how it is like to operate at the border of love and pain.”
There is just a thin line between pain and pleasure. What pleasures you if pushed to the limits causes deep pain leaving you with irrepairable scars. “Love is like playing on the edge, on the border of pain and pleasure…” is rightly said. The intense instrumentals sound dark and the hook will keep screaming in you head long after you listen to the track. The singer talks about when in love, the partner ignores the other person’s emotions and keeps hurting them while the other person keeps screaming for help and some empathy but only receives more pain in return.
