The musician Grimes, her unreleased song “100% Tragedy,” and the urge to experiment with her artificial intelligence voice generator were the sources of inspiration for the song “White Rabbit feat. GrimesAI.” Ableton was used in the production process, and other hardware and software plug-ins were used. The music was created in my little home studio. “White Rabbit” is a spacey electronic pop excursion that’s full of buzzy synth stabs, shuffling rhythms, and repetitive vocal lines employing the voice of Grimes. She set out to produce it because she was curious about using Grimes’ artificial intelligence vocal generator. In addition to being an excellent track in its own right, it is also a fascinating investigation at the junction of art and technology at the same time.
