Emily Barker comes home to Western Australia to start a new musical chapter with her latest single, ‘Wild To Be Sharing This Moment.’ She is a prolific and award-winning contemporary singer-songwriter who has lived in the UK for over twenty years. Barker is most known for writing and performing the theme for Wallander, the BBC’s immensely successful crime drama starring Kenneth Branagh.

“Wild to be sharing the moment is a warm, sweet track with a delicate melody.”

‘Wild To Be Sharing This Moment’ has a beautiful and pleasant melody, but Barker’s vocals leak a sad vulnerability that makes the song hurt. A delicate fragility lies beyond the surface of her lovely voice, which is silky and sweet. Despite the fact that the song makes you feel worried and anxious about things, it also has a reassuring optimism that things will get better. Headjam directed the music video for the song, which focuses on a pivotal moment: a bunch of adolescent females on picture day at school, with Emily posing as the photographer.

The subtle beauty of “Wild To Be Sharing This Moment” is its warmth and tranquilly. Definitely a song worth listening to. Catch the muse down here.
