The indie/pop duo Goodnight Suzie is Suzie Bradford and Ben Bradford. Goodnight Suzie has developed into a compellingly unique entity from the illustrious Seattle cover band “The Side Project,” drawing on a long history that spans six albums and concerts around the Northwest since 2004.

“Free sings about the freedom and fulfilment that may be yours when you live each day with awareness and purpose.”
Emotion and joy coexist together throughout the song. The song’s enjoyable and sharp guitar riffs had me tap my foot and sing along even though there were no rhythms. The skillful interplay of the violins beautifully captures the depth of the song’s emotions. As the notes harmonise, they weave a lovely tune. Suzie gives an absolutely superb vocal performance. She has a mesmerising voice that is both passionate and elegant. The recurring chorus, particularly the variants on the term “Free,” becomes even more enchanting with Ben’s accompaniment, enhancing its overall allure. At about the midpoint of the song, the violin solo achieves an incredibly dramatic crescendo.
Goodnight Suzie’s “Free” is thematically centred on the concepts of individual autonomy and coming into one’s own. Try listening to the song. Catch the muse down here:
