It’s truly a privilege to be reviewing Fish and Scale aka Roland Wälzlein again, previously I had reviewed Stay! by Fish and Scale, and since then his fan base has only gotten bigger, he has been getting appreciation from all over the world.

Hailing from Franconia, Roland pulled through a serious heart operation, this life and death experience stayed with him all his life and perhaps that’s why existentialist themes are prevalent in his lyrics.   A stay in a silent retreat became a turning point as he started understanding life.

“”Wonderful” will provide you with calmness and comfort as the music provide you warmth and Roland’s vocals strengthen your self-belief and confidence.”

Although rooted in folk, his music has a mysterious touch to it and differs from the conventional “folk” genre in many ways like his intense or the unusual song structure, which makes his work authentic. You’ll be moved as he delivers the summary of life in his songs.

The song opens with soothing synths that instantly draw you in, but when Roland’s vocals hit your ears you can’t help but close your eyes and shake your head and let it transport you into an ethereal listening zone. “Wonderful” will provide you with calmness and comfort as the music provide you warmth and Roland’s vocals strengthen your self-belief and confidence. Give his songs a spin right now.
