The Falling Schrapnel of a satellite is the opening track of the second album by Lee-Switzer Woolf, titled “Annihilation Signals” The soothing bassline swiftly carries the listener through the song and Woolf’s mesmerising voice will be stuck in your head. Lee-Switzer Woolf lyrics are extremely poetic and cerebral one such example are his lyrics “I was born afraid, Now I’m afraid I’m dying, I haven been revealed to be the killer.”

“”Annihilation Signals” is a magnificently crafted album, Woolf strikes a beautiful balance between the acoustic and electronic music.”
The title track “Annihilation Signals” portray the same ornate lyricism by Lee-Switzer Woolf. Woolf asks the listener can you notice the annihilation signs too? Woolf seeks validation as he asks “Can you feel flame under your hand? The hands of hell pulling you in? the lesions on your skin, the prickly heat. Can’t just be me?” Another standout track for me was “Tried and tested acts of separation” which takes you on an emotional journey, the song has a melancholic undertone and introspective lyrics which is also mood set in many other songs in the album.
Although dealing with dark themes like existentialism, dystopia and the end of the world, “Annihilation Signals” is a magnificently crafted album, Woolf strikes a beautiful balance between the acoustic and electronic music. Put this album on right away and go on an enthralling introspective journey.
