Blessing the world from the beautiful landscapes of Western Australia, Philip La Rosa is a divine queer creative force of an artist whose take on pop music and artistry is absolutely refreshing! Exploring themes of life and growth through his music, his artistry is introspective and feels like a food for thought. Drawing direct inspiration from pop legends in the industry like Miss Cyrus herself, Philip is a true embodiment of grace and vulnerability that we want to witness more of in the genre. A young and passionate dancer-turned-singer, the genius born out of theatre that is Philip is truly here to stay!

A beautiful moment of sonic reflections, ‘Used to be Young’ is about the journey of unravelling through emotions and reaching the shore of adulthood and looking back at the life behind you. The mistakes you made, the people you encountered, the opportunities you may have felt drawn to at one point and almost distant from the other. This is raw, bold, vulnerable and as honest as sharing about your own life can get! The lyrical landscapes ask one to not just overlook one’s past, but acknowledge, accept and reflect on it in the most graceful manner possible. I felt extremely drawn to every word in this track, and I feel like everyone, despite the different life path they’re on, would too!
