Every great artist always finds their way back to their art, no matter how far they stray away. Every Other Weekend is the musical solo project of Chris Bull from London, one such musician who once lost his connection to music. He took a sabbatical after the breakup of his Indie Rock band, City Reign, in 2016. As he navigates through the tragic events in his life, his new music serves as a source of enlightenment, as one follows his journey of falling back in love with his art form. Every Other Weekend’s work leans towards introspective indie rock and indie-pop. He loves dabbling in emotionally driven lyricism and storytelling that always hits home.

“Music doesn’t just come from the instruments; it comes from the heart, and Chris Bull proves it.”
Every guitar riff, every beat, and every lyric of the song “Memories” from Every Other Weekend will bring back something you haven’t thought of in a while. I had been waiting to listen to a rock song that feels this soothing for some time now. “Memories” is as tender as it is refreshing. It’s the perfect melody to get yourself moving, but reflect at the same time. Listening to this song is the same feeling as listening to a friend tell you about what matters to them. Chris Bull hasn’t just pulled the strings of his guitar, but also many hearts with this beautiful song. I love every second of it, and I’m pretty sure so will you.
