Ava Valianti is 16 years old and already writing circles around people twice her age. The Massachusetts singer-songwriter broke through with her debut EP, ‘Petunias’, building a following on the strength of her ability to write about feelings most of us try to ignore. She’s also been opening for bigger artists, landing radio play, and connecting with people who needed to hear exactly what she had to say.

“Love arrives in tulip colours and leaves in question marks. Valianti holds both without flinching.”
“Deep Fuchsia” is Valianti stepping into a bigger, bolder sound. This is a full-band explosion of electric guitars and crashing drums, all wrapped around the most intense kind of teenage love. The feeling when someone makes every colour brighter, when you’re equal parts thrilled and terrified, when you can’t tell if you’re falling in love or losing your mind. Valianti captures that perfectly.
The guitars build and crash at the right moments. The drums hit hard when the emotion peaks. If “Deep Fuchsia” is where Valianti’s heading next, we’re all in for something special. This winter, she’s hitting the road for a mini-Northeast tour, and if you’re anywhere near those dates, you should go. Because artists like this, the ones who make you feel less alone in your mess, don’t come around that often.
