Let’s talk about Chandra Edinburgh, or as she goes by in the booth, CJ KanGuru. CJ is a three-time cancer survivor. LGBT advocate. Producer, writer, graphic designer, basically, she’s the whole package wrapped up in one determined human being. Based out of Coachella Valley, Chandra’s the kind of artist who doesn’t just make music; she lives and breathes it.

“Three times down, infinite times up. That’s not luck, that’s legend in the making.”
“Crashing Out” was recorded right in her hometown. Chandra pulls from a wild mix of influences like Post Malone, Rihanna and Kendrick Lamar. The track itself has got this restless energy. The structure keeps you guessing, which is exactly what you want from someone who’s spent this year clawing their way back from loss. There’s anger here, sure, but also this fierce drive that’s way more interesting than just being sad for three minutes.
CJ is showing you what happens when someone decides that losing everything means they’ve got nothing holding them back anymore. “Crashing Out” is a statement of intent. It’s Chandra saying she’s done playing small, done letting circumstances define her limits.
So go give it a listen. Chandra Edinburgh deserves your attention.
