Working remotely and completely independently through her own label, Exzenya Productions, Exzenya is the kind of artist who pulls from psychology and real-life mess to create music. Her sound moves between folk-pop, R&B, and whatever else fits the story she’s trying to tell.

“Denial tastes sweeter when it’s mixed with something strong.”
Her latest release, “Till I’m Drunk & Confused,” wraps a heavy story in deceptively light packaging: ukulele, acoustic guitar, live vocals with zero autotune. This isn’t your regular breakup song or your standard “drinking my feelings” anthem. It’s about losing someone because of alcohol, then doing the most predictable thing possible: drowning yourself in it more to forget about it.
Exzenya walks through the entire cycle. The denial, the blame-shifting, the playing victim, the slow realization that maybe you were the problem all along. The production stays light while the lyrics get progressively darker. Friends get pushed away, truth gets avoided, and eventually there’s this gut-punch admission that the person you lost isn’t coming back, and it’s not the alcohol’s fault. It’s yours.
Give “Till I’m Drunk & Confused” a listen. Follow Exzenya for more music that tells it like it is.
