Emerging from the alternative music scene of Frankfurt am Main, Trude and Soldiers, led by German vocalist Trude, have built quite a reputation for themselves. The band’s fame originates from their rather experimental approach to their songs, focusing on the uncomfortable historical events. They approach the stories of war from the perspective of one who lived through its horrors rather than from an external point of view. This approach of theirs creates a bridge between Germany’s complex past and art as a whole. They made their debut in 2025 with the track “1914”, a single that acts as a memorial to the heroes who laid down their lives, yet were forgotten. Time and time again, they have proved themselves to be fearless, establishing themselves as revolutionary artists of this new era.

“He who sails on the ship of melodies, loses himself in the sea of art, and rediscovering himself, becomes truly worthy of being called an artist.”
Luftwaffe’s Poesy is the band’s most ambitious work yet. It explores the memories of war in the form of poetry, a memorial to forgotten souls. The album creates and navigates an intricate landscape of conflict, portraying the battles of the past as something deeply humane, almost personal, while emphasizing their impact on history and times to come. The album consists of songs ranging from rock, pop to the medieval genre, seemingly chaotic at first, but on closer inspection, they are connected by one common denominator: History. All together weaving a scene which the band describes as a universe “not too far from our reality”. The album, rather than glorifying conflict, aims to shed light on forgotten tales in the midst of war. Each track is the story of veterans illustrated through music and vocals serving as their narrator. Trude’s vocal talent really comes out in this album, showing us her latent potential.

Trude and Soldiers are sailors in the vast sea called art, sailing on the ship of melodies, constantly experimenting, dabbling in different genres, losing themselves in this sea, and rediscovering themselves. Their melodies combine avant-garde electronic with alternative pop, paired up with Trude’s female vocals and her talent in storytelling, we get a symphony that treads the strings of the heart. Based in Germany’s rich folklore and history, they are forging their own path forward, advancing into a territory that mixes medieval vibes with alternative pop, innovating with each step they take. As they continue marching forward, developing their music style, they offer us, the listeners, a look into the past we dread, making us feel emotions buried deep in our hearts. The band is destined to innovate the entire landscape of music, and we are here to welcome this change.
