Katie Dwyer’s Album, “Warm Fuzzies”, Is Changing Children’s Music!

Katie Dwyer is an NYC-based artist who is an International Songwriting Competition winner and John Lennon Songwriting Contest finalist who’s been making waves in the family music scene. Her story started back in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, where she got her first piano at age seven and quickly figured out she could play by ear. That natural talent led to countless hours creating her own songs, a skill that would eventually become her career.

“Not just music for small ears, but mirrors for their biggest fears.”

Now she’s releasing “Warm Fuzzies,” her third album, and it’s packed with seventeen tracks that prove she’s not slowing down. Katie pulls from old school rock, doo-wop, and even jazz to create songs that get families moving together. “It’s important to me that while kids are having fun dancing and being silly, they’re also learning some important life lessons,” Katie explains. She wanted to tackle situations that are actually tricky for children to handle, like feeling left out or not knowing how to include others.

Of course, Katie balances all that thoughtful content with plenty of fun. There are dance numbers that’ll have kids jumping around the living room and imaginative play songs that let their creativity run wild. And true to form, she’s brought in animal characters to help tell these stories. There’s a robin who loves to dance, a fox who’s waiting for someone to invite her to play, a goldfish getting down, and more. The variety across seventeen tracks means there’s something for every mood.

Katie Dwyer has created an album that proves children’s music can be both entertaining and meaningful without talking down to its audience. Your kids will be dancing, you’ll be tapping your feet, and everyone might just learn something along the way.

Check out “Warm Fuzzies” and see why Katie Dwyer is changing the game in family music.
