Leather Laces creates an immersive story-driven experience that operates out of LL HQ in Italy. This four-piece crew splits their duties between two guitarists and two synth/drum machine operators. They exist within the Devisal Universe as a private militia protecting something called “_SHOE software,” but strip away the lore and you’ve got four friends who’ve found their edge and run with it.

“Mind Control Techniques” is the final single before their debut album drops in early 2026, and it’s their most confrontational release yet. The track aims at mind control from two angles: within their fictional world, it’s about _SHOE, a rogue AI that infects and controls people called Adepts. But they’re also directly referencing MK-Ultra, the very real CIA program that experimented with psychological manipulation during the Cold War.
The energy here is relentless. Leather Laces have structured their pre-album releases like a military operation, and this fourth single completes their tactical introduction with maximum impact. If this is what they’re capable of in the setup phase, their debut album is going to be worth the wait.
