WONDERLOST, the brainchild of multi-instrumentalist Jared Warren, has been perfecting this blend of organic warmth and electronic layers for years. Warren lets his instruments guide him toward unexpected territories and builds these immersive little worlds where every sound serves a purpose.

Sometimes the best of songs don’t require words, just the right combination of sounds, perfectly placed!
This latest offering, recorded at Coral Star Studios in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, centers around this brilliant accident: while experimenting with ukulele tones, he discovered a ukulele tone so low and percussive it could pass for a kick drum. That percussive ukulele becomes the track’s heartbeat: earthy, unexpected, and completely hypnotic. Over this unconventional rhythm, he layers a Farfisa organ bass that oozes vintage soul, synth layers that shimmer like afternoon heat, and a highlands-style ukulele melody. The ukulele here is mellow and sweet, but it’s Warren’s layering that transforms the almost 6-minute track into something transcendent.
The electronic buzz sound puts your mind at ease, and maybe even elevates your head in the best way possible. The production choices reveal someone who understands that less can be more. Warren handles and experiments with every instrument himself. Be it ukulele, organ, bass, or drums, he pulls off everything effortlessly. “Third Like” sticks because of how complete it feels without vocals or traditional song structure. It is the kind of track that works equally well as background ambiance or focused listening.
