Garden Groove Collective has always been one to color outside the lines. Each band member brings something different to the table. Their styles interlock in all the right ways and pull off something remarkable.

Their new single, “Fading Light,” glows with the last warmth of love as it gradually slips into a memory.
“Fading Light” entails the emotional weight of a relationship that’s slowly slipping through your fingers. But instead of dramatizing it, the band takes a more reflective route. Caught between that uncomfortable space of holding on and letting go, they let it coexist until it passes. You can feel the ache in every beat and line uttered, but there’s also a sense of calm acceptance.
Alt-rock gives the song a bite, soul brings a bit of both ache and warmth, and the modernity that keeps it easy on the ears, making it a song for everyone with a wide palette. Even with its heavily melancholic theme, “Fading Light” doesn’t drag. It remembers and lingers. The Garden Groove Collective knows how to turn grief into art without ever romanticizing it.
If “Fading Light” is any indication of where they’re headed, keep your eyes (and ears) on them. Garden Groove Collective is just getting started.
