Inspired by the literary works of Samuel Beckett, COMA BEACH has created a masterpiece in the form of their latest EP. The ep “Passion/Bliss” is part of “The Scapegoat’s Agony” and consists of five songs, including two singles “Passion” and “Bliss” from their debut album “The Scapegoat’s Agony”. These two singles are like two sides of the same coin with a common purpose: the purpose to push the listeners to think and reflect. The single “Passion” is about the struggle of the antihero with his emotions and purpose. With their emotive music and heartfelt lyrics, Coma Beach draws a vivid picture of these emotions felt by the antihero and takes the listeners on a journey of self-exploration. “Bliss” follows the antihero to the point of him losing his mind to the inner demons. The grand musical gives a sense of euphoria and completes the song “Passion,” coming full circle and creating a perfect harmony between the two songs. The EP evokes emotions like helplessness, pain, and agony in the listener, but the strange thing is that it all feels beautiful and comforting.
