Dan Arwady is a one-man army decorated with various skills like badges. He is a deep songwriter, passionate vocalist, skilful guitarist, and a veteran of drumming. He expresses raw emotions with authenticity and instrumentals that have a rustic sound. Compositions flow like magic and his vocals find a place through your chest to touch your heart. Originally, Dan was from Chicago but is now based in Pacifica, California. He sings in such a way that it feels like a conversation with the listener as if he is looking you in the eye and telling you his story. This makes me resonate with his songs on a deep, emotional level.

‘Somebody Else’ starts with some beautiful guitars that form a picture of a scenic sunset in my head. Arwady’s captivating vocals creep in slowly and take command. The highs and lows that the singer takes you through are profound. Filled with grief and melancholy, the lyrics craft an emotive story about heartbreak. The feeling of not being chosen by someone you truly admire is depicted through the song. The song stands enhanced with the contribution of vocalist Cassie Annunziata who harmonizes with Dan’s voice to result in a beautiful texture. Harry Griffin and Chloé Mendola played the acoustic guitar and cello respectively to make sure the instrumentals carry the story too.
