Awaiting Abigail is an electrifying rock band from Dallas that was born in 2024 when three high-school classmates (Heather, James and Laurie) decided to join hands and embark on a musical journey. These three were part of various bands together in the mid to late 90s; but after 2000, they went on their individual journeys to explore their respective arts. James met Abigail (a talented young vocalist and a theatre artist, studying at a local university) and saw the rising star in her. She was offered to become the front of the band and did justice to her role by acting as the melodic force of the band. Mike and Kori Tolfa, the father-daughter duo, make up the rest of the band.

Falling Under is a heavy rock track with post-grunge elements and a theme relatable to most of us. The song talks about a flawed relationship. It is a part of the band’s four-song EP- Bad Mind. It starts with an ethereal melody in the keys along with Abigail’s haunting vocals. Soon the distorted guitars come in with a captivating riff. The variety of sound processing techniques distinctively marks sections from sections. The passionate vocal delivery comes with power and a strong command of music. The hook takes over like an intoxicating substance.
