Ubiquity Machine is an alt-rock duo from the United States, DC. Their name is inspired by the often unnoticed working of the modern world. How each process and function simultaneously continues to be performed, ultimately making the world run. This self-powered machine never stops and will only sleep when the world comes to an end. Musically, the band is pretty fluid and is not afraid to experiment. With strong grooves and emotive compositions, Ubiquity Machine’s music will win your heart. Their lyrics are brave and express real emotions with a lot of humour. The duo comprises the members- Rabbit and Howard Rabach. They are smart when it comes to storytelling. The boys successfully set a warm and fun tone while delivering deep messages. If you are looking for a feel-good, easy-to-listen band, the Ubiquity Machine is the right choice.
“The duo showcases their musical prodigy and lyrical excellence through the EP- Romeo and Juliet”
‘Romeo and Juliet’ is an alternative EP by the Ubiquity Machine. The project starts with the self-titled track which comes with a jolly tune accompanied with a handsome guitar melody. The vocal rhythm dictates the instrumentals at certain sections and that sounds pretty amazing. The reference to the folk tale, Romo and Juliet makes the track even more special. These tunes of love will pluck some strings in your heart and bring out the romantics inside you.
As we move on, the succeeding songs carry the energy of the title track pretty well. The second track, Betty and Steve is a cute little story with various real-life references and witty lines on the world. The distorted guitars when playing a mellow tune, bring to life the contrast in music. The random introduction of a trumpet solo was a total surprise. It talks about how love evolves and how people grow apart in life.
My personal favourite track from the project is ‘I Think it’s Funny’ which is a harsh take on the various plots that the mainstream media crafts for us to believe in. This EP is the first half of the band’s upcoming album. If you like the taste of their music, you should stay tuned for their album.
