Karen Salicath Jamali has fingers that work magic on the piano. Her compositions have the ability to soothe your mind and soul and put you in a meditative state. She designs each melody perfectly as it should be and composes it intuitively. Her spontaneous composition style doesn’t allow the essence of the artistic expression to slip away. Her journey is a very unique one. She had been a visual artist for over 30 years. It was only after her near-death experience in 2012, that she gravitated towards the keys. After recovering for three years, she began composing on the piano and made thousands of compositions. It was almost like the traumatic experience awakened a hidden talent in Karen which would have been undiscovered otherwise. Her musical compositions have that stillness and capture the various accents through which Karen expresses her mind.

Dreams of Angels is a 16-song project by Pianist Karen Salicath Jamali. She aims to reveal her connection with the angelic energies through this album. The central themes of the album are courage, peace, healing, and divine wisdom, each song is symbolic and when you listen to the album in sequence, you will notice the subtle shift in energies that happen throughout the project and you will inevitably weave a story around the emotions that the songs convey. It is a divine musical project and the creation process was sacred too. Jamali has kept the rawness of the songs by making sure that she doesn’t filter out bits from her compositions and tries to present it as it came to her. These musical insights hit her in the morning time around 5 am. She believes that the compositions came through her from the celestial beings and she was the one who translated the energies of these beings into musical notes. Her song ‘White Angel’ has been awarded twice by the Charleston International Music Competition. You must listen to the album in one go and the experience for you will be truly transformative both musically and spiritually.
