After a long time, I came across a very unique artist from LA who brings tunes from various parts of the world together to create songs that will light up your mood. Leopold Nunan was born in Brazil and is currently based in Los Angeles. His influences are derived from Brazilian rhythms, rock music, tropicalismo, and many other global genres. LA being the hub of the media industry, many artists dream to be there. Leopold’s lyrics express his struggles and the undying ambition that got him to the US as an independent artist. Slowly, he is cementing his presence in the music industry with his versatility and authentically created music.

‘5 Meters’ is just the trailer, the whole movie is yet to come your way. It is the first single from Leopold’s upcoming album ‘Leo from Rio!’ and as the name suggests, the album encapsulates the artist’s story and the background he came from. The song comes with a hint of country music inspired guitar chords and the punch of rock. The song came out with a music video that features extremely well framed shots that capture the essence of the city life and all the noir-inspired grit. Leo’s camera presence is top notch as he appears in the video in an all black outfit with a hat on and some blingy neck pieces. The vocal delivery style used in the song is inspired by legends like David Coverdale, Cazuza, and Grace Jones.
