Going through the album, we could not help but notice the goosebumps that “Dark Clouds” gave us. After getting lost in the beauty of the album for considerate amount of time, we have finally come back to reality and are here to share our experience of the album with all of you.

“Dark Clouds unveils layers of emotions with brilliant storytelling, haunting music, and soul-piercing vocals that hit you like ripping off a Band-Aid”

“Dark Cloud” truly might be one of the best folk-rock albums I have ever heard. There are good lyrics, then there are great lyrics and then there are songs written by Backstrom. “Dark Cloud” is not just a collection of well-written folk-rock songs, it feels like the musicians are telling you your own story making you reflect upon your unchecked emotions. The album teases different moods of the listeners with each song and Bart Topher has done a great job expressing the intimate songwriting of Backstrom with his haunting vocals. The lyrics of the song sink deep into your soul, leaving a mark and attaching you to the album in a very personal way. The album is put together so well with brilliant composition and all the musicians at play have excelled in their jobs. Nicky V at guitars, Tim McDonald on piano and organ, Francisco Paz on drums, and Maciek Szczyciński on bass, everyone has performed so magically making this acoustic album the masterpiece it is. Unicorns and Mermaids might not be real but the magic of “Dark Clouds” is. So, without wasting a minute go listen to the album now.
